Call for Abstracts

We are delighted to announce the 2nd conference from the Global Congress of Special Interest Tourism & Hospitality (2nd GLOSITH) which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from 20 to 22 April 2019.


The conference aims to explore niche tourism and hospitality issues, and exchange new ideas in contemporary tourism and hospitality within the globalized environment.


The conference invites conceptual, empirical, and methodological research papers, and case studies on different tourism and hospitality themes. Papers are expected to address the theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of tourism and hospitality policy, development, marketing, and management.


All submitted abstracts will follow a rigorous double-blind review process by the scientific committee and will be published in the conference proceedings based on reviewers’ recommendations. 



Publication Opportunities

Awarded papers at the conference will be expedited for publication in the Tourism Management Perspectives (SSCI-listed)

Another five papers will be selected at the conference to be published in the International Journal of Tourism Sciences

Submission Guidelines 

Abstracts (300 - 500 words only in English) should be submitted to the conference chair by/before 25 March 2019

Once you submit an abstract, you don't need to submit a full paper (see suggested conference topics)

Are you an undergraduate?

There will be a separate session during the conference for group presentations among undergraduate students (with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 members per group).


The best five groups will be awarded prize money and a certificate of recognition.

A fee of US$200 per group is required in order to participate.
